Dance City & The Arts is now an official Angelina Ballerina™ Dance Academy! Angelina Ballerina™ Dance Academy classes are taught through a nationwide network of top quality dance studios. Your child will receive a quality dance education in a caring and fun environment, all based on the beloved Angelina Ballerina™ character. The Angelina Ballerina™ Dance Academy curriculum is designed by internationally renowned master teachers and child development experts. Your child will be inspired to pursue their dreams of dance, just like Angelina Ballerina™! Register today and your little star with big dreams will develop the love and skills of dance that will last for a lifetime.

Competition Team

A terrific opportunity to join an amazing group! Our teams have received high platinum awards and multiple scholarships including technique, choreography and performance. They have received the Broadway Bound Award two years in a row for dance, voice, theater, modeling and photogenic competitions. They also received a scholarship from Step Up To Dance for nationals! The team focus is to develop their personal best, support each other, have fun and work for the benefit of the entire team. The team trains year round. The end of the 2-week summer program concludes with auditions for all those interested.

About DCA

Dance City & The Arts is directed by Julie Rizzo who purchased the studio from Sheila Simone in 2015. A smooth transition has opened the doors to many new oppoortunities. DCA has gained recognition from the National Performing Arts Council of The United States of America, receiving their prestigious America’s Top Performing Arts Education Center in Connecticut award. DCA HAS been awarded Best Dance Studio from the Southington Observers Reader’s Choice Awards for 8 consecutive years and are recipients of the Children’s Empowerment Award by Kid’s Day International. We are also proud to employ university trained dance teachers, many with childhood education majors.
